At PodTech we’ve been doing a ton of work in social media and really by accident.  I never started PodTech.net to ‘kill’ broadcast media.  I started it out as an social experiement to test some attributes of RSS that I was playing with… what I found was the profound nature of distribution overlayed ontop of social media fabric that is rapidly developing as part of Web 2.0 or Internet 2.0 (whatever you want to call it).

It is clear that this new platform has massive disruptive elements in all three venture theaters:  1) market disruption (new players emerge), 2) business disruption (new economics), and 3) technical (viral and growing technologies on the Internet).   This is the driving force behind so much of the massive change coming.

What is the future of social media and what is the disruption to broadcast media.  I’d love to talk with anyone (via a blog, podcast or video) who has ideas, vision, and solutions.

I’m interested in learning and hearing from anyone…just mail me at  john at podtech dot net
